# Sisense and Tableau (Preferred Analytics Vendors)

Welkin works with Sisense and Tableau as preferred analytics vendors and can set up and maintain dashboards on your Welkin data for you.

Not every organization has its own data warehouse or BI team. If you want dashboards and reports on your Welkin data without building a data pipeline yourself, Welkin works with **Sisense** and **Tableau** as preferred analytics vendors and can set up reporting for you.

Both options are built on the same scheduled data export described in [Connect Your Own Analytics](https://docs.welkinhealth.com/integrations/analytics/s3-data-export), so your dashboards stay in sync with your Welkin data and configuration.

## What Welkin can help with

* **Scoping** – working with you to define the metrics, reports, and audiences you need
* **Data setup** – connecting your Welkin data export to the analytics tool and keeping it refreshed on schedule
* **Dashboard build** – building your initial dashboards and reports
* **User access** – inviting your team members and managing who can see which dashboards
* **Ongoing changes** – adding new metrics, reports, and fields as your programs evolve

## Sisense

Welkin connects your data export to a dedicated Sisense data model for your organization. After each export run, Welkin automatically triggers a refresh of your data model, so dashboards reflect your latest Welkin data.

* Your team signs in to Sisense with accounts provided by Welkin.
* Team members with Sisense designer access can build and edit their own dashboards on top of your data model.
* When you add fields or Custom Data Types (CDTs) in Welkin Designer, the data model may need a schema refresh before the new data appears in Sisense.

To request new dashboards, changes to existing ones, or access changes, see [Sisense Change Requests](https://docs.welkinhealth.com/integrations/analytics/sisense-change-requests).

## Tableau

Welkin can build and maintain Tableau dashboards on your Welkin data, hosted in Tableau Cloud.

* Welkin builds the dashboards to your requirements – for example, call activity reports, marketing attribution, patient journey tracking, and billing reports.
* Your team members receive invitations to your Tableau site and can view, filter, and drill into the dashboards.
* Data refreshes automatically from your Welkin data export.
* Changes to dashboards, such as new columns, metrics, or filters, are handled by request to the Welkin team.

## Getting started

1. **Contact your Customer Success Manager** at <csm@welkinhealth.com> and describe the reporting you need – the key questions your team wants answered, who will use the dashboards, and which Welkin data they rely on.
2. **Scoping call** – Welkin reviews your requirements and recommends Sisense or Tableau based on your needs.
3. **Setup and build** – Welkin sets up the data export and the analytics tool, then builds your initial dashboards.
4. **Review and access** – you review the dashboards with the Welkin team, and your users receive access.

Analytics setup is delivered as a professional services engagement. Your Customer Success Manager will share a quote during scoping.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.welkinhealth.com/integrations/analytics/sisense-and-tableau.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
